Permanent Cosmetics Aftercare
Using Clean Hands:

• Blot hourly until weeping ceases.

• Wash 2 times a day using
Cetaphil cleanser.

• Apply After Inked moisturizer 1-3 times daily.

*Avoid touching the healing area apart from these three steps until all the little scabbies flake off*

Piercing Aftercare
What to Avoid:

• Cleaning with alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, antibacterial soaps, iodine, or any harsh products.

• Ointments as they prevent necessary air circulation.

• Products such as Bactine, pierced ear care solutions, and other products containing Benzalkonium Chloride. These are not intended for long-term wound care.

• Over cleaning. This can delay healing and irritate your piercing.

• Spinning or twisting Jewelry.

• All oral contact, rough play, and contact with others’ bodily fluids on or near your piercing while healing.

• Stress and recreational drug use, including excessive caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol.

• Submerging the peircing in water.

• All beauty and personal care products on or around the piercing including cosmetics, lotions, and sprays.

• Don’t hang charms or any object from your jewely untill the piercing is fully healed.

• Sleeping directly on a healing cartilage piercing can cause irritation, even causing shifts in the piercing’s angle.

• Placement or friction of things like seatbelts, loofahs, or tight clothing around new piercing

Keep it Clean:

• Wash your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning or touching your piercing.

• Saline rinse as needed during healing.

• Dry by gently patting with clean, disposable paper products.

What is Normal:

• Localized swelling can occure for around 7-10 days.

• Some bleeding can occure for up to 3 days.

• Tenderness or Brusing

• Fluid or crust around jewlery or piercing. (Clear, white, yellow, or light green are all normal)

Jewelry Size:

Jewelry size is very important.

We are happy to help you with sizing and changing of the jewelry for your new piercing.
